Alton Towers and OOTD!

Hello lovelies! I would just like to apologize for the lack in posts at the minute, as I have lost my SD card for my camera so I haven't been able to take any pictures, I have a blog post lined up, I just need the SD card the camera.

Now that, that's out of the way let's talk about today, so today I have been to Alton Towers! I go Alton Towers quite a lot, as I live quite close with it being an half an hour drive and I normally have an annual pass which means that I can get in for free. This trip however was the first one of the year and for my friends birthday.

I assume a lot of you who are from Britain have heard of the new ride that's called The Smiler, that was supposed to be open sometime last week... well it isn't open yet and we were really looking forward to going on it, so that was a let down, however when I first got to the park I got a text from my brother asking if I was Alton Towers and when I replied saying yes he started saying that he was as well, but he was working on The Smiler, as he is a painter and decorator and the railings needed painting, so I spent a lot of the day texting my brother and then I went to see him which was lovely.

The only downside about today would be the weather. It has not stopped raining all day, in fact as I write this post it is still raining which is a bummer. We still managed to go on all of the rides that we wanted to though and we even managed to get on nemesis three times!

OOTD - (Sorry for bad quality pictures)

As it started raining pretty much as soon as I left the house I had to keep my coat zipped up, as I realized that if my top got wet then I would of gone a little bit see through which it already is slightly. I also wore a pink jacket underneath the coat just for another layer, as I knew that if I didn't wear something under the coat then I would get soaked and be freezing because the t-shirt and the coat isn't enough to keep warm, as when you;re going to a theme park you don't dress to look good you dress for the weather (Well, I do anyway haha) I kept everything else simple with black leggings, grey socks with small frills and black converse.

Guess who's been shopping?!

This morning I had to get up at stupid o'clock (but that's another story) to go shopping. When I say stupid o'clock I got woken up at 6, yes in the morning. We left the house at 9 and got into town at about quarter past. The first purchase was from Dorothy Perkins.

This is for my prom which is next month, it's just the right size as it's not massive, but it isn't tiny and it matches my shoes, haha! It's a envelope clutch that also has a chain, so it can be put on a shoulder which is a plus as the chain tucks neatly into the bag, but if you fed up of carrying you can just whip the chain out and put it on your shoulder, haha! It costs £20, but I got it for £16.00 and I have no idea why, we had no discount or anything, but got £4, but I'm not complaining. If you want to check this out you can here!

New Look

I've been after something like this for a while now and I did see this exact thing Miss Selfridge, but it cost £14 so when I found the same product in New Look for £6.99 it was a bargain! It's cheap and cheerful and exactly what I was looking for so I'm in that stage at the moment when you have something new and love it. I can't seem to find this on the website in Gold, but I can find it in Pink Gold and Silver, so if you still want a look, you can here!

Topshop

This lipstick just looks so cute! It's such a nice colour spring, as it isn't that bright, but is bright enough if you get what I mean, I haven't tried this on at all which I probably should have done, so I could have a bit more to talk about, but I didn't so you will just have to look at the looks as the packaging is also really cute, Topshop definitely have the best packaging for make up. If you want to check this out, you can here!

This is also for prom. It matches well with the bag and other accessories that I have bought for prom, it's small and quite simple and I think it will look good with my dress. It isn't over powering and it's just small and simple, but yet quite elegant. This costs £12.50 which I think is expensive, but I think everything in Topshop is expensive.

Evans

I hope you can see that alright. This is also another thing for prom. As you can see it has some silver crystal things and isn't anything to over the top, it's just simple and silver exactly what I was looking for. It cost £7.50 which I think is quite expensive. Either everything is expensive or I'm just really tight with money, haha.

Primark

This dress was to cute to leave behind. As you can see it's a light blue colour with small poka dots, also on the pockets at the top are bows. The buttons are wooden and I've just noticed that one of them on mine has broken in half, so I might take it back, you can't tell, but it's still broken, boo! This only cost £10 which is reasonable, this dress will look good in summer or in the warmer days of spring.

The only reason I bought these is for sleeping. These will be really good for when it gets warmer at night and just good for sleeping in. They cost £3 so that's really good as £6 for two pairs of shorts is a bargain! I don't really have a lot to say about these as nothing exciting will be happening whilst wearing these, only sleeping, haha!

I fell in love with this as soon as I saw it. The picture doesn't do it a lot of justice, but it's fab. I feel like this would be perfect for any festivals or going to a theme park. In fact it would be good for most things, but if the rain is shocking then I don't think that this is appropriate for that.

River Island

As soon as I saw this on the website I loved it, it's literally my perfect t-shirt. It's oversized, it's long, it has a cute design and it has turned up sleeves if that's the appropriate word, but 30% of the money goes towards breast cancer which makes it even more perfect. It costs £15 which I don't think is that bad, but seriously, I'm in love with this, you have no idea!

USC

Notice I saved these beauties for last... so everyone that got bored and left halfway through, ha look what you're missing out on!:p Anyway, I may have mentioned that prom is next month and these will be the shoes that I will be wearing for prom, but they are beautiful! The heel is about 5 and a half inches and they cost £12, £12 THAT IS A BARGAIN!  They were supposed to be £30, but then they were in the sale for £15 and then when we paid for them they were £12! These are now the love of my life... I need to get out more...

Primark and Boots haul!

Yesterday I had a little trip to town with my mum. We had been planning to go for a while, but never got round to it. Plus it's my friends birthday on Saturday, so if we didn't go shopping I wouldn't of been able to buy her anything and that would not go down well. Whilst shopping I saw quite a few things that I liked and therefore spent quite a lot of money...

I'll start with the items I purchased from Primark (Just to warn you; this haul is going to have no structure, what so ever)

This blouse is my favourite! My favourite compared to what, I'm not so sure, but I love it! It's sheer, so a vest top is needed under it and it has black poka dots all over it. I actually wore this yesterday to a meal with my mum. I wore it with a black skater skirt and a leather jacket, and not to sound too vain, but it looked quite nice, I'm planning on wearing it to my friends party for her birthday. The blouse cost £12 and I don't think price was too bad considering it would of been about £10 dearer in somewhere like Topshop or River Island.

Primark actually have a lot of maxi skirts in at the moment and this one was definitely my favourite! It comes with a little brown belt. I've noticed that quite a few Primark products come with belts, not that I'm complaining you never know when you're going to need a belt, haha! I can't decide what the material is and I don't know what to compare the feel of he skirt to, as it's quite different. The skirt cost £10 which again, I don't think is that bad, as it could of been a lot dearer.

These shoes aren't great, but I will probably only wear them once. The only reason that I bought these is because my school is having a fancy dress day on Wednesday (27th March) and I'm going as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, my school have banned any type of heels, so flats it is. I was looking for sparkly shoes, but I couldn't find any, so these had to do. These only cost £4 so that was another reason why I got these, they're quite cheap.

These are what I got my friend for her birthday. I like them and would buy them for myself, but it's not my birthday tomorrow is it? The purse cost £5 which is quite cheap considering a purse that my mum liked in River Island cost £17. The bracelets cost £2 which I think is a really good price considering you get four that's like 50p per bracelet.

Simple is one of my favourite brands for skincare. I have sensitive skin, so simple is a safe brand for me as they are kind to sensitive skin and are brilliant products. I was really surprised when I found these in Primark and when I saw that they are a pound I had to buy them. The product on the left is a 'Hydrating light moisturizer' I put this on before I went to bed and when I woke up my skin was feeling very smooth, so a thumbs up for that. The product on the left is 'Refreshing facial wash' I haven't tried this yet, but I'm sure that it will be great.

I have started wearing foundation and I've been pretty desperate for a brush that doesn't cost over £10, as all of the brushes that I've seen have cost a fortune. This brush is both a foundation and concealer brush, it cost £1.50 and it feels really soft, I first thought that it would feel quite hard, but it feels alright, I can't wait to use this.

I never thought of buying nail varnish from Primark, but I do have a love for nail varnish. The shade on the far left is 'Peppermint' the got the name spot on, as the best way to describe the colour is... peppermint. The middle colour is Mulberry' which is a dark purple I admit that it's a winter shade, but I couldn't resist. The colour on the far right is 'Au naturel' which is a peachy/brown colour.

(I did buy some other things from Primark, but that was only some socks, tights and a white tank top. I didn't think that these were worth showing)

Now onto boots. Boots have an offer on, so all the beauty stuff is 3 for 2, so I went a little bit crazy. This is the one time that I didn't have may card as well, so I missed out on a good 100 points.

You have no idea on how long I have wanted this. I haven't used a BB cream and I've heard a few good things about this, I got the shade light and it was the last one left in this shade. I don't really like buying the last one, as you never know if it's been opened or not, but I decided to get it anyway. It costs £7.99 and you can check it out here

Ever since these nail varnishes came out I wanted to try one. It's the textured effect nail varnish by Barry M in the colour 'Kingsland Road' I didn't know what colour to get and this light shade of pink looked too cute, so I chose it. I haven't used it yet, but I've seen pictures of what it's supposed to look like and I can't wait to use it. It costs £3.99 and you can check it out here

I didn't expect to be going home with this, but I liked it too much to leave behind. It's the lasting finish 1000 kisses in 510 kiss me. I did wear this for the meal with my mum yesterday, the colour is a deep pink/red. I can not however give a review, as my lips were extremely chapped, so the product wasn't great. About two or three coats are needed to get an opaque coverage. It costs £6.99 and you can check it out here

This is another product that I wasn't expecting to buy. I'm running out of shampoo and have ran out of conditioner, so I was due another purchase, but I didn't expect to buy these. The product in the middle is hairspray and I do need hairspray as the one I have has ran out. I can't wait to use all of these products, as I love using new products on my hair. The shampoo and the conditioner were £5 each, but on the website the price is higher you can check out the conditioner here and the shampoo here. You can find the hairspray here. All three of these products are for blonde hair, if you can't tell by the packaging.

This little beauty was on a stand near the till with a ton of other colours from the same brand. The colour is Pinky glitter (I'm not sure if it's pink or pinky because the website says pink and the bottle says pinky) and it's from Sinful colors, so I'm guessing it's an American brand. It only cost £1.99 so it was a steal! You can check it out here

February Favourites

February hasn't been a bad month for beauty products. I've tried new products and even rekindled my love for some older ones. These are the products that I have been loving through February!

Soap and Glory - Body wash - Sugar Crush LINK

I have been using this product for a couple of months now. I bought it in December and have used it every time that I've had a shower since then! Considering the amount of times that I've used it, I still have a lot of it left, it's lasted a lot longer than I thought it was going to. The smell is also great, my mum and I both love it! The soap also leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft, which is great.

The Body Shop - Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Mist LINK

I've been loving this! This just smells great, I wear it most days and it's just a nice scent it's light, fruity and floral. It's not an overpowering smell, but a couple of people have noticed it and commented on how nice it smells. I bought this at the start of February and I've used it that much that most of it has gone; I've used at least half of it!

The Body Shop - Born Lippy in Pomegranate LINK

I have been using this product everyday since I bought it around the start of the month, and it's definitely a favourite. I suffer with chapped lips a lot, especially in the winter and thanks to this they haven't been that bad, once my lips started to get chapped I would put this on every morning and within two days it would be cleared up. It also leaves a red tint to lips and tastes great!

The Body Shop - Vitamin E Moisture Cream LINK

I haven't had this product for a long time, but I love it! It's great for dry skin, as that is the reason that I bought it because I was getting really dry skin on my face and this cleared 99% of it up over night! It also leaves skin feeling soft and smooth and not sticky. When applying you don't need to use a lot, I dip my finger into the cream and if I do that about four times, I've used enough for my whole face. See my full review here link

Primark - Nail Varnish Remover Wipes

My mum bought me these back after she had been shopping. They come in a pack of two and are great! When I first saw them, my first thoughts were that they were going to be terrible and that it was a waste of a £1, but I tried them and they are brilliant. By far the best nail varnish remover wipes around. I prefer using wipes and I've tried a lot of brands and only found one that I liked, but then this came along! These are just amazing. The wipes are only little, but I managed to only use two (One for each hand) These also smell great, I hate the smell of nail varnish remover, but these don't smell like nail varnish remover at all.

Spending Pennies

I picked up these goodies today...

(Sorry for the awful picture and all of the awful pictures to come)
First of all, I bought a cream cable knit jumper from Primark. The item costs £14, which isn't to bad compared to other jumpers that are similar, but cost quite a lot more than that. I changed into the jumper later on in the day and it fits perfectly and doesn't irritate the skin (which I find some jumpers do).

The skirt is a khaki colour and only cost £8.00 from Primark. The skirt is quite loose and almost like a skater skirt. It comes with a black belt, which doesn't really affect the skirt, it just adds a bit of a darker colour to it. The waist is elasticated, which is always a benefit for me when I'm buying skirts.

I wore the skirt and jumper together with the jumper tucked into the skirt and they look good together. I wore the outfit with a pair of black tights and a pair of black ankle boots.

The bag is actually a birthday present for one of my friends, it's her birthday on the 10th of January and the bag just seemed like something that she'd like. The bag cost £6 and it's a simple black colour with a cream bit just above the buckle. I'm not much for it personally, but I think she'll like it. The bag is also from Primark.

Last, but not least; I bought two Models Own nail varnishes from Boots. I bought Coral reef and Pastel Pink, as there was an offer for 'buy two for £8. I haven't had chance to wear wither of them yet, as I currently have my nails painted with the colour; Balearic Cool from the Head Kandi range (also from Models Own) and I'm impressed with the colour, it's lasted longer than I expected it to. and it's just an overall nice colour. I hope these two are as good as the Balearic Cool.
