April Favourites!

Considering we're nearly in double figures and I haven't done my April favourites yet, is a bit shocking, come on Hannah you're slacking! The reason I have put my favourites off for so long is because money is a bit tight at the moment, so I haven't had anything new throughout the month, so all of my favourites are old gems and some are not beauty related and you may think I'm very weird by the end.

Let's start off with the Bubblegum lip scrub from Lush

This stuff is a life saver I originally had it for Christmas and used it a couple of times around then, but I never really noticed a difference because I didn't apply it right. I recently decided to try it again after I saw a YouTube video of someone using it, so I tried it again and I was really pleasantly surprised at the results, it tastes delicious, as it is partly made from sugar, so it tastes and smells amazing. It is a little pricey at £5.25, but that could just be not liking to spend a lot of money, if you want to check you can here!

Next up is a product from Simple, it's the kind to skin cleansing facial wipes

This product will forever be one of my favourites, as it's just brilliant, it removes make up and keeps the skin fresh. I use this every morning and every night and it keeps my skin looking healthy and feeling healthy. I have sensitive skin and once when I was using a cheap brand of wipes they left my face burning and blotchy which was not good, let's just put it that way. These wipes are just amazing seriously  I have been using them for a good couple of years now and even my mum uses them, haha. Check them out here!

The next item is not beauty related in fact it is cereal. It's frosted wheats

When I was younger this was probably my second favourite cereal, as coco pops always won and then after a while I stopped having these, so when I went to Tesco a couple of weeks back I remembered that these used to be nice and that I had them when I was little, so I wanted to try them again and I'm so glad that I did. These are exactly what they say on the box they are frosted wheats, so it's basically wheat covered in sugar. Now I never normally have time to eat cereal in a morning, but ever since buying these I have made an effort to eat it and haven't missed a day yet. They're just so good and remind me a bit of my childhood.

Last favourite is a group/ band whatever you want to call them, it's Bastille
Not my picture

I'm really ashamed that I've only started listening to these recently, as they are amazing! My all time favourite song by them is Of the night, as it is beautiful. The other songs I like by them are Pompeii, Flaws and Laura Palmer, although I like all of the songs on the album. If you haven't heard anything by them yet then you definitely should and if they're not your type of music then...I don't even know, haha.

March Favourites!

So it's finally April *cheers*. The clocks have gone forward so it's going to start getting light early and staying light for longer which will make it feel a lot more summery outside, let's just hope the temperature goes up a bit, haha! All of these products are relatively new, but I've worn them to death whilst I've had them.

Lasting finish by Kate Moss in 08

This is my first lipstick from the Kate Moss collection for Rimmel and I love it! It's one of them 'your lip colour, but better'. It applies nicely and is very pigmented. It lasted me three-four hours without eating and drinking, but after eating or drinking another layer would be required although after eating or drinking the colour can still be seen. The only bad point is that it is a little drying, so I use a nivea lip balm as a base before applying the lipstick. If you fancy having a look you can check out all of the other shades here

Sinful Colors - Pinky glitter

This nail varnish is so pretty! When I applied this I didn't use a basecoat or topcoat and I totally regret it; when wearing this a basecoat is 100% necessary. I put three coats of this on and that was when I got an opaque colour, so if you have no patience and don't like having to wait for you nails to dry before adding another coat then this isn't for you. Whilst on the colour is a light pink with obvious amounts of glitter. I never thought that I would spend £1.99 on a nail varnish, but this was to pretty to leave behind. Simple - hydrating light moisturizer

I apply this before I go to bed and when I wake up in the morning and I just find that it's such a beautiful product. I bought this from primark for £1 and I love it! It has no fragrance and the littles amount does plenty. The only downside is that it is hard to get out of the bottle as the bottle is hard to squeeze and when it does come out you don't want too much because like I said before a small amount does plenty.

Meybelline the rocket volume express mascara

I got this mascara off my mum and it's the best! Before this mascara I used one from avon which is now my second favourite. I used to wear about eight different mascaras and I'm not being dramatic and then with just using a couple of coats of this one makes my eyelashes look perfect it does not clump them them together and it also makes them look longer which is great. Check it out here

Rimmel London 1000 kisses

I have used this whenever I go out and it's such a nice colour. It's not quite red it's more of a pinky red colour although it does look red by the container and the swatch. I've found that the colour lasts until you want to eat or drink and then another coat will be needed. This product however is not great for chapped lips as it will highlight them and really make the chappednes stand out. I'm also struggling at the moment as it is deciding that it doesn't want to work very well, but I think it gives you instructions on the packaging on how to make it easier to use. Primark and Boots haul!

Yesterday I had a little trip to town with my mum. We had been planning to go for a while, but never got round to it. Plus it's my friends birthday on Saturday, so if we didn't go shopping I wouldn't of been able to buy her anything and that would not go down well. Whilst shopping I saw quite a few things that I liked and therefore spent quite a lot of money...

I'll start with the items I purchased from Primark (Just to warn you; this haul is going to have no structure, what so ever)

This blouse is my favourite! My favourite compared to what, I'm not so sure, but I love it! It's sheer, so a vest top is needed under it and it has black poka dots all over it. I actually wore this yesterday to a meal with my mum. I wore it with a black skater skirt and a leather jacket, and not to sound too vain, but it looked quite nice, I'm planning on wearing it to my friends party for her birthday. The blouse cost £12 and I don't think price was too bad considering it would of been about £10 dearer in somewhere like Topshop or River Island.

Primark actually have a lot of maxi skirts in at the moment and this one was definitely my favourite! It comes with a little brown belt. I've noticed that quite a few Primark products come with belts, not that I'm complaining you never know when you're going to need a belt, haha! I can't decide what the material is and I don't know what to compare the feel of he skirt to, as it's quite different. The skirt cost £10 which again, I don't think is that bad, as it could of been a lot dearer.

These shoes aren't great, but I will probably only wear them once. The only reason that I bought these is because my school is having a fancy dress day on Wednesday (27th March) and I'm going as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, my school have banned any type of heels, so flats it is. I was looking for sparkly shoes, but I couldn't find any, so these had to do. These only cost £4 so that was another reason why I got these, they're quite cheap.

These are what I got my friend for her birthday. I like them and would buy them for myself, but it's not my birthday tomorrow is it? The purse cost £5 which is quite cheap considering a purse that my mum liked in River Island cost £17. The bracelets cost £2 which I think is a really good price considering you get four that's like 50p per bracelet.

Simple is one of my favourite brands for skincare. I have sensitive skin, so simple is a safe brand for me as they are kind to sensitive skin and are brilliant products. I was really surprised when I found these in Primark and when I saw that they are a pound I had to buy them. The product on the left is a 'Hydrating light moisturizer' I put this on before I went to bed and when I woke up my skin was feeling very smooth, so a thumbs up for that. The product on the left is 'Refreshing facial wash' I haven't tried this yet, but I'm sure that it will be great.

I have started wearing foundation and I've been pretty desperate for a brush that doesn't cost over £10, as all of the brushes that I've seen have cost a fortune. This brush is both a foundation and concealer brush, it cost £1.50 and it feels really soft, I first thought that it would feel quite hard, but it feels alright, I can't wait to use this.

I never thought of buying nail varnish from Primark, but I do have a love for nail varnish. The shade on the far left is 'Peppermint' the got the name spot on, as the best way to describe the colour is... peppermint. The middle colour is Mulberry' which is a dark purple I admit that it's a winter shade, but I couldn't resist. The colour on the far right is 'Au naturel' which is a peachy/brown colour.

(I did buy some other things from Primark, but that was only some socks, tights and a white tank top. I didn't think that these were worth showing)

Now onto boots. Boots have an offer on, so all the beauty stuff is 3 for 2, so I went a little bit crazy. This is the one time that I didn't have may card as well, so I missed out on a good 100 points.

You have no idea on how long I have wanted this. I haven't used a BB cream and I've heard a few good things about this, I got the shade light and it was the last one left in this shade. I don't really like buying the last one, as you never know if it's been opened or not, but I decided to get it anyway. It costs £7.99 and you can check it out here

Ever since these nail varnishes came out I wanted to try one. It's the textured effect nail varnish by Barry M in the colour 'Kingsland Road' I didn't know what colour to get and this light shade of pink looked too cute, so I chose it. I haven't used it yet, but I've seen pictures of what it's supposed to look like and I can't wait to use it. It costs £3.99 and you can check it out here

I didn't expect to be going home with this, but I liked it too much to leave behind. It's the lasting finish 1000 kisses in 510 kiss me. I did wear this for the meal with my mum yesterday, the colour is a deep pink/red. I can not however give a review, as my lips were extremely chapped, so the product wasn't great. About two or three coats are needed to get an opaque coverage. It costs £6.99 and you can check it out here

This is another product that I wasn't expecting to buy. I'm running out of shampoo and have ran out of conditioner, so I was due another purchase, but I didn't expect to buy these. The product in the middle is hairspray and I do need hairspray as the one I have has ran out. I can't wait to use all of these products, as I love using new products on my hair. The shampoo and the conditioner were £5 each, but on the website the price is higher you can check out the conditioner here and the shampoo here. You can find the hairspray here. All three of these products are for blonde hair, if you can't tell by the packaging.

This little beauty was on a stand near the till with a ton of other colours from the same brand. The colour is Pinky glitter (I'm not sure if it's pink or pinky because the website says pink and the bottle says pinky) and it's from Sinful colors, so I'm guessing it's an American brand. It only cost £1.99 so it was a steal! You can check it out here
