July Favourites!

Hello lovelies!

First of all I would just like to apologize for no favourites for June. In June I never really tried anything new, so there was nothing for me to put into my favourites and I didn't want to just gather any old products and chuck them in, so I decided to leave it for a month.

Three of these products are new and I have had one for quite a while now. I know four items might not be much of a favourites, but these are the products that I have been loving through July.

Not the best picture in the world - apologies

Sleek - i Divine Au Naturel
I bought this a while back and never really used it, the first time I really used it was for my prom and after I used it for that I may have fallen in love with the shade on the top right which is a bronze shimmer. I haven't used all of the colours yet, but I'm loving using the third shade on the top left over my lid which is a matte very light brown with the bronze shimmer in the crease, and as the two shades aren't two dark they are great for a daytime look and are very natural. The first shade on the top left I use as a highlighter which I put on my brow bone which makes the eyes more noticeable and I use it in the inner corner of my eyes which is great for really brightening the eyes and making them appear bigger.

Bourjois - Healthy mix serum foundation
When I tested this foundation in boots the first thing I noticed was the smell; it smells amazing! It literally smells like a scented sun cream that you'd use when you were little; it's great! I have the shade 51 - light vanilla and it is a good match for my skin tone, as it looks very natural and I love how it has a matte finish, so there's no chance of looking shiny. It also lasts a long time as well and I can get through the entire day without thinking that it has faded or that I have gone patchy.

Barry M - Gelly hi-shine - Blue grape
I don't know why I didn't buy one of these when they first came out. I knew I wanted a nail polish that wasn't matte and had a shine to it, so I immediately thought of trying a hi-shine and it did not disappoint! The pigmentation of this is perfection! I only needed two coats until a good solid colour had built up.I also find that this polish lasts a long time without chipping which is a great bonus!

Carmex - moisturising lip balm

I have a love hate relationship with this lip balm, it shouldn't be a favourite, bit it is. The reason is that it burns; I'm not going to lie and I'm not being dramatic, but it literally burns for a couple of minutes after I've put it on. The burning does fade after a couple of minutes. Now you're probably wondering why it's in my favourites if it burns, but it does it's job. It claims to soothe, relieve and moisturise; it may not soothe, but it definitely moisturises.

Barry M Wink black eyeliner pen

Would you be surprised if I told you that I've never tried any Barry M product other than their nail varnish?

When my previous eyeliner had ran out, I knew I didn't want to repurchase the same one and then this one really caught my eye; with the bright purple packaging with black detailing, I really like it! It gives off an 80's vibe which I love!

The tip isn't very sturdy, but it isn't that weak so you can't use it, I can work with it just fine to create a small line close to my lashes.Plus the application is easy with only one coat needed for an opaque colour to build up, as it is well pigmented.

It does however doesn't stay opaque for long, as it does fade if not re-applied during the day and it does also move to the eyelid after time as well. I found that for the first couple of times, it didn't do that, but now that I've been using it for about a week the quality has gone down immensely
(I'm pale)

I won't be re-purchasing this, as it's not worth it. It fades easily and quickly and will also transfer to the upper lid, however it is quite cheap, as it retails for £4.59, so that isn't bad.

Yay:

Does it's job
Easy to apply
Cheap
Well pigmented
Nice packaging

Nay:

Will fade after a while
Transferred to my upper eye lids
The tip isn't as sturdy as it should be
Smudges easily
Fades after a couple of hours

Overall:

Brand: Barry M

Product: Wink black eyeliner pen

Price: £4.59

Where to buy: Superdrug, boots or anywhere that stocks Barry M

Package quality: 5/5

Overall rating: 3/5

Recommend: No. It's not worth it. The quality will decrease quickly and it will smudge and fade. This eyeliner however this eyeliner will get you from a to b, I would not recommend that you should go out to buy this specific item

Primark and Boots haul!

Yesterday I had a little trip to town with my mum. We had been planning to go for a while, but never got round to it. Plus it's my friends birthday on Saturday, so if we didn't go shopping I wouldn't of been able to buy her anything and that would not go down well. Whilst shopping I saw quite a few things that I liked and therefore spent quite a lot of money...

I'll start with the items I purchased from Primark (Just to warn you; this haul is going to have no structure, what so ever)

This blouse is my favourite! My favourite compared to what, I'm not so sure, but I love it! It's sheer, so a vest top is needed under it and it has black poka dots all over it. I actually wore this yesterday to a meal with my mum. I wore it with a black skater skirt and a leather jacket, and not to sound too vain, but it looked quite nice, I'm planning on wearing it to my friends party for her birthday. The blouse cost £12 and I don't think price was too bad considering it would of been about £10 dearer in somewhere like Topshop or River Island.

Primark actually have a lot of maxi skirts in at the moment and this one was definitely my favourite! It comes with a little brown belt. I've noticed that quite a few Primark products come with belts, not that I'm complaining you never know when you're going to need a belt, haha! I can't decide what the material is and I don't know what to compare the feel of he skirt to, as it's quite different. The skirt cost £10 which again, I don't think is that bad, as it could of been a lot dearer.

These shoes aren't great, but I will probably only wear them once. The only reason that I bought these is because my school is having a fancy dress day on Wednesday (27th March) and I'm going as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, my school have banned any type of heels, so flats it is. I was looking for sparkly shoes, but I couldn't find any, so these had to do. These only cost £4 so that was another reason why I got these, they're quite cheap.

These are what I got my friend for her birthday. I like them and would buy them for myself, but it's not my birthday tomorrow is it? The purse cost £5 which is quite cheap considering a purse that my mum liked in River Island cost £17. The bracelets cost £2 which I think is a really good price considering you get four that's like 50p per bracelet.

Simple is one of my favourite brands for skincare. I have sensitive skin, so simple is a safe brand for me as they are kind to sensitive skin and are brilliant products. I was really surprised when I found these in Primark and when I saw that they are a pound I had to buy them. The product on the left is a 'Hydrating light moisturizer' I put this on before I went to bed and when I woke up my skin was feeling very smooth, so a thumbs up for that. The product on the left is 'Refreshing facial wash' I haven't tried this yet, but I'm sure that it will be great.

I have started wearing foundation and I've been pretty desperate for a brush that doesn't cost over £10, as all of the brushes that I've seen have cost a fortune. This brush is both a foundation and concealer brush, it cost £1.50 and it feels really soft, I first thought that it would feel quite hard, but it feels alright, I can't wait to use this.

I never thought of buying nail varnish from Primark, but I do have a love for nail varnish. The shade on the far left is 'Peppermint' the got the name spot on, as the best way to describe the colour is... peppermint. The middle colour is Mulberry' which is a dark purple I admit that it's a winter shade, but I couldn't resist. The colour on the far right is 'Au naturel' which is a peachy/brown colour.

(I did buy some other things from Primark, but that was only some socks, tights and a white tank top. I didn't think that these were worth showing)

Now onto boots. Boots have an offer on, so all the beauty stuff is 3 for 2, so I went a little bit crazy. This is the one time that I didn't have may card as well, so I missed out on a good 100 points.

You have no idea on how long I have wanted this. I haven't used a BB cream and I've heard a few good things about this, I got the shade light and it was the last one left in this shade. I don't really like buying the last one, as you never know if it's been opened or not, but I decided to get it anyway. It costs £7.99 and you can check it out here

Ever since these nail varnishes came out I wanted to try one. It's the textured effect nail varnish by Barry M in the colour 'Kingsland Road' I didn't know what colour to get and this light shade of pink looked too cute, so I chose it. I haven't used it yet, but I've seen pictures of what it's supposed to look like and I can't wait to use it. It costs £3.99 and you can check it out here

I didn't expect to be going home with this, but I liked it too much to leave behind. It's the lasting finish 1000 kisses in 510 kiss me. I did wear this for the meal with my mum yesterday, the colour is a deep pink/red. I can not however give a review, as my lips were extremely chapped, so the product wasn't great. About two or three coats are needed to get an opaque coverage. It costs £6.99 and you can check it out here

This is another product that I wasn't expecting to buy. I'm running out of shampoo and have ran out of conditioner, so I was due another purchase, but I didn't expect to buy these. The product in the middle is hairspray and I do need hairspray as the one I have has ran out. I can't wait to use all of these products, as I love using new products on my hair. The shampoo and the conditioner were £5 each, but on the website the price is higher you can check out the conditioner here and the shampoo here. You can find the hairspray here. All three of these products are for blonde hair, if you can't tell by the packaging.

This little beauty was on a stand near the till with a ton of other colours from the same brand. The colour is Pinky glitter (I'm not sure if it's pink or pinky because the website says pink and the bottle says pinky) and it's from Sinful colors, so I'm guessing it's an American brand. It only cost £1.99 so it was a steal! You can check it out here
